Hotel Market Report 2011

Market transactions analysed by Robertson & Robertson form the basis of this commentary which is supported by anecdotal observations made in the course of valuing going concern hotels. Robertson & Robertson have 35+ years experience specialising in the valuation of licensed hotels, carrying out in excess of 100 such valuations annually.

The following graph illustrates the number of sales analysed on a financial year basis since 2004/05. Plotted with the number of sales is the annual movement in adjusted yields analysed from those sales. The average yield is affected by transaction volumes in each market segment and will be addressed in the “Market Segment” commentary.
